A sinus infection is an inflammation of the lining of the sinuses that in most cases leads to headaches, facial pains and even a fever. Fortunately, there are a few natural remedies that are effective at killing the bacteria and viruses responsible for sinus infections such as hydrogen peroxide.
HYDROGEN PEROXIDE FOR SINUS INFECTIONS
Hydrogen peroxide (find it here) and sea salt are natural and very effective alternatives to conventional sinus infection treatments. Hydrogen peroxide thins mucous and can clear up your sinuses.
The combination of hydrogen peroxide and sea salt has similar healing properties as a traditional saline rinse with no side effects. Hydrogen peroxide is a natural disinfecting agent that helps get rid of the infection and sea salt helps restore osmotic balance in the mucous membranes.
HOW TO USE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE AND SEA SALT:
Just combine 6 ounces of warm filtered water with 1/2 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide (find it here) and 1 teaspoon of sea salt. Make sure the salt dissolves in the solution, and add the solution to the nasal sprayer or neti pot. Spray the mixture into the nose and allow it to drain through the mouth.
